Ms Bozica Stumfol is a Registered Psychologist running her own EMDR private practice which is based in North Brisbane in Queensland. Bozica regularly facilitates at EMDR Institute trainings run by Dr Janette McMahon. Bozica became an EMDR Consultant and Institute Facilitator in 2019. She was trained by Dr Francine Shapiro Institute and supervised by Dr Karen Klockner.
Bozica has been practicing psychology in Australia and overseas. She was trained in EMDR in 2014 and ever since she has been using EMDR therapy in various mental health settings in Qld Health including older person’s team and inpatient unit for people who are diagnosed with a chronic and severe mental illness. Prior to Qld Health, Bozica worked as a psychologist with Qld Corrective Services, drug rehabilitation centre, domestic violence/sexual assault sector, and unaccompanied humanitarian minors.
Bozica has authored seven articles and book chapters on topics of refugee trauma, war trauma, student displacement and sexual violence and was awarded with the Charter of Humanity in 1998 for providing psychological first aid to civilians and soldiers during and post war conditions in Croatia. In Australia, she expands her clinical work by focusing on the effects of trauma experienced by young refugees, adversities caused by racism and various multicultural mental health topics.
Bozica is a registered Psychologist with Medicare, the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Psychology Board of Australia. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and registered Psychology Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Bozica is available for both, F2F and online group and individual EMDR supervision.
